PTSO Scholarships
Each year, the PTSO awards $1,000 scholarships to five graduating seniors. Applicants must be PTSO members who will be attending a school of higher learning. In order to apply, click the scholarships link on the PTSO website to download materials or pick up a packet from Ms. Haywood in the counseling office. The scholarships are awarded based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to character, leadership, community service and the answer to an essay question. Completed applications should be returned to Ms. Haywood by March 21. Questions should be directed to Mitzi Lynch, PTSO scholarship coordinator ([email protected]).

The Fight the Flame® CRPS Awareness Scholarship
The Fight the Flame® CRPS Awareness Scholarship was established to encourage students to educate others about Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS formally known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) is a chronic, degenerative, neurological pain disorder. To the outside world, a person with CRPS looks "healthy." People with CRPS push through their pain to survive and succeed in their daily lives. It is difficult for someone battling with CRPS to hear from others who are not aware of the disease, that they look good, so they must not be sick. CRPS is an invisible disease, as are so many others; fibromyalgia, depression, Sjogren's, Interstitial Cystitis, Eating Disorders, etc. Spreading awareness, supporting education and research about Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), is the key to one day finding a cure for this dreadful pain disorder. As part of our advocacy efforts, we are offering one Fight the Flame® CRPS
